When To Get Away From An Abusive Or Violent Relationship.
What To Do If Your Relationship Becomes Violent Or Abusive
To most people who have never experienced violence or abuse in their relationships, it is impossible to understand why the victim doesn't simply walk away but this is not always easy to do for various reasons.
- If the victim lives in the home belonging to the abuser and has nowhere to go and also has children then it is not easy to simply leave, at least not right away.
- If the victim is affraid of greater violence or threats if they try to leave.
- The victim thinks it is due to their own behaviour, it never is but they are made to believe they are responsible by the abuser.
- The victim loves the abuser and thinks that they will change and alter their behaviour, they rarely do unless they realise they have a problem and seek expert help.
- The victim eventualy decides to get away before they are kiled or become so withdrawn and lose all self confidence that they can never get away.
